Nacton Primary School
Following consultation with the Foxhall Poors Fuel Allotment Charity and senior staff at Nacton Primary School, some vulnerable pupils were identified whom it was deemed would benefit from engaging in a creative activity.
We developed a series of sessions which were tailored to individual pupils’ interests and needs. The objective being to help boost their confidence, self-esteem and give the pupils the chance to shine. During these sessions we created an original piece of work and developed a performance that was showcased to students, parents, carers and staff at the end of the summer term 2024.
The project was a huge success with the students fully engaging and noticeably growing in confidence as the sessions progressed. The children were a pleasure to work with and we wish them all well in their future creative endeavours.
Some comments from the staff:
“It was wonderful to watch the performance this afternoon. It is clear that the children have really enjoyed the experience and time spent with you. This has enabled them access to a safe space to express themselves and grow in confidence. It has provided a much valued creative opportunity to enrich what we do.”
“The children all really enjoyed it and all said that they felt more confident after doing it. Seeing them stand up in front of a group and perform a song that they had written themselves with so much confidence was amazing. It has definitely been a worthwhile experience for the children involved.”
