We were funded to provide rehearsal and preparation time for people in active recovery from problematic alcohol and substance use to perform at local Sober Space events. This funding allowed us to continue and develop the work we had been doing with other projects.

Our participants will be performing at local Sober Space Open Mic nights, led by the Recovery Community, which we have been helping to develop with Turning Point and the only record label for dry artists, Not Saints. In addition, Music Prescription will be supporting another recovery led event, Recovery’s Got Talent, which is now coming into its 10th year of delivery, which has proven to support a range of positive outcomes for people in recovery by enabling participation in creative experiences.
